As Principal I would like to tell you something about myself.

I was born in Invercargill, New Zealand of Dutch parentage and received my primary education at Makarewa School (2 Years) and then Sacred Heart School ,Invercargill.

For my Secondary Schooling I travelled to St Kevins College Oamaru where I stayed till Year 13. 

My tertiary years were spent at Wellington Teachers College and Victoria University, followed by a Post Graduate diploma from Massey University Palmerston North.

I am married to Kath with three daughters and a son . My son Mark attends St Theresas while his sisters  Rebecca, Christine and Hannah attend Verdon College

I have taught in schools in Invercargill,Wellington,London and laterly have been the Principal of St Patricks Nightcaps,(Western Southland) St Josephs Taihape (Central North Island ) and currently St Theresa's Invercargill for the last 14years.
